Stewed Lobster


  • 1 boiled lobster weighing four pounds
  • 1/2 pint of milk
  • 1 teaspoonful of flour
  • 1 tablespoonful of butter
  • 1 teaspoonful of dry mustard
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoonful of vinegar


Cut the lobster into small pieces. Thicken the milk with the flour and butter; add the dry mustard, and a little salt and pepper. Stew the lobster in this till it is quite tender, and lastly add the vinegar.
