Dabs

Ingredients

  • 1 pint of cornmeal
  • 1 dessertspoonful of butter
  • 2 eggs beaten very light
  • 1 wineglassful of cream or milk
  • a little salt

Instructions

The cornmeal, thoroughly scalded with hot water. Rub into it the butter, eggs, cream or milk, and salt. Butter a tin pan, and drop the mixture from a spoon upon it. Bake in a moderate oven.
