To Clarify Fat

Ingredients

  • fat
  • 1 pared and sliced raw potato
  • pinch of soda
  • 1 tablespoon of water

Instructions

Melt fat, add the potato, soda, and water; heat slowly, and cook until fat stops bubbling; strain through double cheesecloth.
