Sauce for Roast Pork or Goose


  • 2 tablespoons fat
  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of boiling water
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of mixed mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of Brand's A 1 sauce


Pour off most of fat in the pan, leaving two tablespoons; add the flour and boiling water, and stir until smooth. Season with the salt, mixed mustard, vinegar, and Brand's A 1 sauce.
