To make Robert Sauce

Ingredients

  • some cullis
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 blade of mace
  • a little mustard
  • 1 gill of rhenish wine

Instructions

Boil all together a quarter of an hour, strain it, and reduce it nearly to a glaize.
