Royal Paste No. 9

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of butter
  • 1 pound of flour
  • 4 whites
  • 2 yolks
  • 2 ounces of fine sugar

Instructions

Rub the butter into the flour, the whites beat to a foam, add the yolks, sugar; roll often, rubbing one third, and rolling two thirds of the butter is best; excellent for tarts and apple cakes.
