Portugal Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef
  • 2 pig's feet
  • 4 quarts of water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 1/2 head of cabbage
  • a few thin slices of pumpkin
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 herb bouquet
  • 1/2 can of peas

Instructions

Boil beef and pig's feet in water; season with salt and pepper. Let boil well. Add lettuce, cabbage, pumpkin, carrots and garlic, all cut fine, and herb bouquet. Let all cook until tender; then add peas. Remove the meat; cut into thin slices; season, and serve with the soup.
