Irish Batter Cakes
- 4 eggs
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoonful of melted butter
- 1 small cup of milk
- sifted flour enough to make a smooth batter
Beat the yolks of the eggs; add salt, melted butter, milk and flour. Beat well.
Add the whites of eggs, beaten stiff and let fry a golden color.
Spread with jam and serve hot.
